So, in this intermediate zone between the material world/body and mind/Spirit, we could have form and energy, the figure/ground, distinct but interconnected, as the most functional operation. Rather than just being a pawn within this material orientation, an idea within this model of the controlling external world, we can take charge, be active with intent, “activations,” and be interactive within the Life World in the Greater World.
There’s people, and their thing. Then there’s the Way! I can do that, even if its like a smorgasbord here . . . Me!!
Most are caught within the Material World with its “idea.” Then there’s the more active mode, the “distinction,” within the figure/ground, the Life World within the Greater World. That’s how both parts of the rational and holistic hemispheres work together.
So, what if people are trying to manipulate this “idea part,” with something they consider more real, an “added behavior” with their own “symbol” added in? This idea part in classic psychology isn’t viewed as that real. But I realized these are only “externalizations,” and people aren’t that smart here as well. I call this the “colloquial psychoanalysis.”
The more “intrinsic” aspect of our nature begins here with “intent.” With the focus of intent, one could interconnect, get out of one’s head, with a more real world beyond one’s models of the world. I called that “Existence.” There is a system of knowledge here as well, and one can play with that in one’s interconnections.
With these foci, there are enhancements when one interconnects, everything is so much more real, energetic, colorful . . . clarity! From the context of the typical world, into activations with the Greater World, in which things are drawn up in an even more sophisticated manner.
The point is one wonders who one “really is” at these points. There is a more intrinsic level of Self kicking in here, not just the typical self, and its other parts, etc.
Intent with the figure/ground, has a more multifaceted orientation, an aspect of the Gestalt, with the greater consciousness of the Ground involved, adding further directions, guidance, Meaning! Its definitely more than just the ignored other half within this interactive Bigger Picture. What is it all?
Going with that more multifaceted intrinsic nature . . . that extensive “grab,” like an M. C. Lithograph, with all the parts intertwined in another way . . . not linear. So what am I thinking here, the possibilities? Its revelatory; one can take the old ways of interpreting, into the past, for instance, not so seriously.
With that extension of intent, we realize we’re more than a mind/person stuck in a material body/world. Had an itch on my toe, then a sense of an orb, and an open space, expansion.
I got all the levels in now. At this most basic one, at one time, the body was seen as a problem, and some may have thought we may even have to die to be more, then deal with heaven or hell . . . even Christ . . . like Yvonne’s book. I started at a more psychological point, ending up within a more intermediate zone, like Suhrawardi, intent and figure/ground, the Life World within the Greater World. Psychoanalysis here.
Even in those divisive externalizing situations, one can use discrimination. One can feel that more core intrinsic awareness, that larger consciousness concerning itself with the issues . . . even sex, which it is not the same as! Who is one really?
But were not going to get rid of that “other-half” part due to that basic dualistic level of functioning most are only aware of. Surprisingly though, there is something else . . . “Me” . . . lol . . .
We needed something a bit more authentic, directional, meaningful . . . not just an issue of whether its being good or not.
“To put it plainly, to say that “ultimate reality is a unity of opposites” is actually to say that in ultimate reality there are no boundaries. Anywhere.” (p. 24)
No Boundary; Ken Wilber
I tried changing my attitude to considering the system with both orientations . . . the most you all could do. It wouldn’t be as far as the above though. It was like I under a swaying tree, with its all its green leaves flowered, as if flowing in the wind. “. . . in 700 years the laurel will be green again . . . “
Sounds good, as if one could move past all these levels of divisive development, with their motivations . . .
With intent and figure/ground, we’re in that intermediate zone . . . mutuality, connection/interconnection . . . not just selectivity!
Within the Life World and Greater World, there is a flow of distinctions, though the Ground is still there. Things come and go; yet a larger Consciousness and Intelligence is involved . . . multifaceted. It could just be the Ground itself, at times kicking in, with its Intrinsic nature, and Heightened Awareness and Guidance.
That’s what I was thinking.
We seen how the scientists, religions, philosophers deal with this dual mode. For the colloquial situation, and its generic interpretations, its more like who’s up or down, using their materialistic symbols and behaviors. Then there’s me in this interactive awareness.
So, whatever they think I’m doing . . .
Ah! That’s the point, just be conscious and active; we’re not just pawns of the material situation, the colloquial. Its not just a personality issue, sex, for instance! Its the Way!
Amalgamate. Embody.
Realities . . . mutuality, activations . . .
Assuming identity formats . . . beyond the colloquial, generic . . . not just symbolic, but contextual, “representations” of the elements of me in those situations . . .
Being “me” in an intent presentation . . . typical, like in the mirror.
Viewing me as if I was in a bed, but more than that, with other stuff there . . .
Who’s the me? I looked as if I was an Indiana Jones type, acting and looking different, in spectacular clothing, strange settings.
Being myself, still at the till, dressed in a dark form, with a weapon, and wondering, “Who am I?”
Likewise, moving along in there, enjoying myself as a biker before, now Spiderman . . . some good AI scenes on YouTube and gaming, I guess. I had my standing stance on this arched pillar curving off into the distance. There was this blue curved, circular form connected there, a planet? And this overall multifaceted bluish image, of the universe? Cool.
Those curves were important . . .
Bluish . . . Arcturians?
There was this intent focus, but aligned with that there was this associated experience: it was like my arms were stretching forward, applying direction, holding a boulder within my two hands, and then it was like I was looking through a window, opening, and seeing this row of houses.
Later, I had this image of a collection of various kinds and shapes of boulders . . . ?
A down to earth body, but more active and younger . . .
A taut connection with a smaller me out there in a distant space, with a line, fibre, mutually connecting, during the focus of intent . . .
A meditative time . . . just laid back and enjoyed the expansion, emergence of the other . . . continuously . . .
Like a huge ancient double wooden door opening . . .
A small dark animal on the other side . . .
That group of entities in their bluish shawls, in a spiritual orientation, came in and said “Hello.”
Golden head, or helmet? Imhotep? “He who comes in peace.”
A living blob, like a sea creature.
A presence, in a shiny pinkish, red robe/skirt . . .
Considering that linear time issue . . . seeing and touching these pocket watches, in a row, as I moved along . . .
A thought of a woman, but seeing a sachet, like a feathery small bird . . . likewise, just a sparkling something out there as I had an intent . . .
A “swirl” in the space in front of me, like in a pastel greenish fabric . . .
A variety of intent intrinsic experiences cutting through all this, enhanced, a meaningful form, symbol . . .
Like I was opening and closing a glass door . . . like I was quickly swishing down a corridor . . . as if I was holding a pen to a piece of paper. All had an enhanced orientation with depths of feeling. Similar themes?
These activations, with the distinct impression of connecting with something other, beyond . . .
Like opening an old weathered steel window, then glimpsing something else out there, like the edge of a lighted city . . .
Being in another distinct lighted space, with my hand forming a context to the orientation . . .
I was having this interiorized good feeling, like presented in that Buddhist orientation . . .
I was in this other space, and it was like I got this big spark of energy and light next to me. A person from my past said he was going to move on, from this obscure space.
Within this space it was like I saw this green cable stretching out into the distance, as if it was also relating with the situation, and the past.
“That unity consciousness is always present is our honsho, our “original enlightenment,” original not because it occurred in ancient times past, but because it is the origin and ground of this instant. Enlightenment is the origin of the present form. Myoshu, spiritual practice, is the movement or activity of this origin; it is the appropriate function of origin-al enlightenment” (p.144)
Ken Wilber, No Boundary
“Honsho-myoshu therefore means that true spiritual practice springs from, but not toward, enlightenment. Our practice does not lead to unity consciousness, our practice is unity consciousness from the beginning—from, in fact, all time. “ (p.144)
Ken Wilber, No Boundary
. . . Intent and the figure/ground, the Life World within the Greater World??? . . .
It was like I saw the index of this mysterious book, with some undecipherable words . . . then as if I was zooming in and out to the outlines of a map . . . Europe? Must need to read that Corbin volume . . . ?
As far as this “imagination” goes, one could actually say “intent,” “intentionality.”
“Literally, as I mentioned a moment ago, it signifies the city, the country or land (ābād) of No-where (Nā-kojā). That is why we are here in the presence of a term that, at first sight, may appear to us as the exact equivalent of the term ou-topia, which, for its part, does not occur in the classical Greek dictionaries, and was coined by Thomas More as an abstract noun to designate the absence of any localization, of any given situs in a space that is discoverable and verifiable by the experience of our senses.”

“What is that intermediate universe? It is the one we mentioned a little while ago as being called the “eighth climate.” For all of our thinkers, in fact, the world of extension perceptible to the senses includes the seven climates of their traditional geography. But there is still another climate, represented by that world which, however, possesses extension and dimensions, forms and colors, without their being perceptible to the senses, as they are when they are properties of physical bodies. No, these dimensions, shapes, and colors are the proper object of imaginative perception or the “psycho-spiritual senses”; and that world, fully objective and real, where everything existing in the sensory world has its analogue, but not perceptible by the senses, is the world that is designated as the eighth climate. The term is sufficiently eloquent by itself, since it signifies a climate outside of climates, a place outside of place, outside of where (Nā-kojā-Ābād!).”

“There has always been something of major importance in this for all our mystical theosophers. Upon it depends, for them, both the validity of visionary accounts that perceive and relate “events in Heaven” and the validity of dreams, symbolic rituals, the reality of places formed by intense meditation, the reality of inspired imaginative visions, cosmogonies and theogonies, and thus, in the first place, the truth of the spiritual sense perceived in the imaginative data of prophetic revelations.”
