Levels, from the ground up

As far as classic notions go, there’s rationality and the subject/object, then intent and the figure/ground. As far as our psychology goes, rationality is passive, just a mirror of the situation, world: intent moves out of that mirror and interconnects with the rest of the world. As far as bipolar brain theory goes, though, they work together: we can do our homework here.

Intent is our core function, active within all of these figure/grounds, multifaceted . . . The Life World within the Greater World. Its why we dream. Our mind functions at a much higher level here, what we got, and what we can become . . . intent within contexts . . . understandings, meaning.

Its our active mode, besides the body and the environment. At a more intrinsic level, we are moving within form and energy, bodies, Self, and worlds.

Even back then, those art professors had no problem in dealing with “seeing.” They could get my attention and direct it in various directions. Those psychology ones were lame, even to this day, externalizing, behaviors. The combos of the two are only showing up recently, like in me.

In the past, I knew of perception; but the mistake I made was to “push it,” for I was still in “separate mode,” which may of divided things up even more. At least I went for the “darker.”

“Let those who desire to develop spiritually attempt to think with their hearts instead of continually studying with their brains. Let them attempt to sink day after day their power of thought down to the centre of life in the heart until their consciousness is firmly established there. At first, they will see nothing but darkness; but if they persevere in their efforts, they will behold a light at that centre which illuminates the mind. This inextinguishable light will send its rays to the brain and carry them as far as the stars, and in it, they may see the past, the present, and the future.”

These days it may just be a gentle touch, a connection/interconnection, an activation, evolving within the Greater World as a context.

I’m beginning to wonder if its the “New Me” that’s important, i.e., what has been emerging within me, not your little generic/ colloquial social elements.

“There are two sources from which the obstacles arise that are in the way of those who desire to attain self-knowledge and immortality. One class of obstacles arises from the interior self, the other from the external conditions in which one lives. The internal obstacles are caused by one’s acquired scientific or theological prejudices and misconceptions regarding the human constitution and by the living elemental forces active within the animal principle in their constitution. As they are fed and grow strong by external influences, they manifest themselves in various ways, producing animal impulses. Combined with intellectual acquirements, they grow into the more dangerous class of vices, such as ambition, vanity, greed, intolerance, selfishness, selfishness, etc. Each of these animal elements, or Elementals, may grow into an intellectual but unreasonable being and finally constitute the Ego. A human being may have many such Egos until perhaps one of these overmasters the others and becomes a king in the realm of their soul. Each of these Egos absorbs a share of the life and consciousness of the person whose soul exists and may even occupy all space within their intellectual sphere to paralyse reason or drive it away. The world is crowded with intellectual or semi-intellectual Elementals in human shape, in whom reason has been paralysed to a greater or lesser extent. You see them every day in the streets, principal object in life should be to keep the realm of their mind free from such intruders so that the king Reason may rule therein without being impeded. Their duty is to fight the Herculean battle with those animal and intellectual Elementals so that they will become servants of the king and not his masters. Can this be accomplished if all our energies are continually employed on the outward plane . . .”

Moving past these current people things, an internal/external interpretation, dramatization, there was a more intrinsic level personally, that I was interested in . . . intentionality. This is where the mind gets active, pulls it all together, becomes focused and energetic. I started with an interconnection with the world, getting past one’s filters. Eventually, I realized there can also be other “activations,” full scale, and complete. Where “one is at,” is then within a much greater orientation, possibility; interpretations become expanded beyond the lowly social/personal world, which are only generic and colloquial.

The person, mind is freed, let loose. The foundations of which become orientated within intent and the figure/ground rather than just rationality and the subject/object. Who are you?

As far as the “games” go, we’re looking at the “colloquial belief systems” . . . when people couldn’t fit into the religious ideals, or later, psychoanalysis. They had that “other half” to play with . . . “I’m bad!” was cool!!

I knew something “more” was there; I was learning that on the side. But then I realized it was even bigger than that . . . the multifaceted, the Ground . . . never mind just the “single part” and its leftovers, etc.

And then one discovers one’s core . . . that next level of functioning.

Intent and figure/ground, as our intermediate level, this includes it all, and more, in an integrated way!

Being in an intent focus/connection is the ideal way; then there are even further approaches to it all, the multifaceted perspectives. One can go beyond those colloquial people things, being one’s true core.

“One’s intrinsic nature . . . the Life World within the Greater World.”
