Most spiritual traditions, has Creation, Mankind, as emergent from the Ground.
Even Christianity: Genesis 1:2, King James Version:
“ And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”
Then there is that “intermediate zone,” between Matter and Spirit, for instance, with more advanced forms of functioning. The start of “psychology” . . .
The West, though, has this divided up, separate, and even in science, we get something like the subject/object. Lets say that sense of body gives us that feeling of distinctiveness: for most of us, its difficult to change that.
Once I made it to that sense of overall context though, “The Life World within The Greater World,” I became more flexible, in general.
It boils down to we’re in an evolutionary position, and we aren’t at our best. “Were one is at” is open to potential. One needs to be active, or we can slip back into many unquestioned states, like into the dirty backwater.
Most of us are passive, just a reflection of that external physical/social reality . . . that apparent reality . . . neutral . . .
We live our lives within that mirror . . .
But what if that mirror was multifaceted, a Magic Mirror, like a diamond with many reflective elements? Realities, our lives and worlds, could be so much more extensive!
“Like a mirror that is decorated by the image placed in front of it, the soul begins to understand a number of secrets, both in a waking and a sleeping state. Sometimes it almost sees strange images from its destined portion of the mysteries of the spiritual realm which are reflected upon its powers of imagination. These same images which pass through one’s mind may also appear in the world of the senses. Words once spoken are heard; or invisible, and unknown things become visible, sometimes clear, sometimes obscure according to one’s connection and the intensity of one’s wish.” p 96

This intermediate realm, multifaceted . . . how we deal with the Creation, emergent from the Ground.
We look back up to that fullness, consciously with intent, beginning with the figure/ground. The Life World within the Greater World.
So, “where one is at,” then there is the enhanced context, mutuality, activations . . .
With “intent,” one can begin to explore those more extended forms of functioning, and realities. We are in a position of further growth, evolution, maturation . . . the “Fuller Self.” Holistic.
We can start with a bit of psychology here, then become a bit more esoteric, move into philosophy, the spiritual . . . a position with meaning, potential activations, direction.
Lately, I was thinking of this: “There are many possible elements, approaches: one can move with the elements within the form, to a change of form itself, activations.” At my start, I learned of Intent and perception; but I was pretty much stuck, in an internal way, within the form itself . . . the “Personal Self.”
I seemed to have set-up an internal program that was in competition with your “externalizations,” which I didn’t understand back then, which may have been a bit of an aberration. But on the other hand lately, I was having these turn abouts . . . optimums, with the proper focus . . . despite a tough situation, a crystal vase popped in, like a Trophy?, with swirling translucent outer parts, along with the associated sense of a smiling reaction.
This recent talk of dualism, blackness, may of helped out there, for there are those trying to restart the old ways. The point is, it still boils down to the fact, there’s still “me,” and the “other” stuff . . . as I saw my typical self running ahead, in there. Haha! I don’t like to consider that chaos; but its amazing the kinds of representations one can get.
When having a dream, looking into my inner space, it was quite blase, like extending a peanut butter knife towards a dirty background: I immediately thought I should view the ground as a locale of interactive excitement, not the dreary unconscious. Becoming active, the situation, became more crisp, defined, clear, as I made these interactive foci with that sharper background.
I had this vision of an outdoors nighttime scene, as if I was looking down a sidewalk, with houses silhouetted on the left, with a light on one, and a dark bigger school building on the right. A cloaked entity, hidden within its orange flowing robe, was standing on the sidewalk ahead of me. The”Path?” . . . with the typical and the greater?
