Yes, when I realized we “attend to the world;” that was the beginnings of the changes within me, and developing more independent ways. Recently though, it got me thinking: what is our intrinsic nature? . . . “one with the universe!” I began thinking about moving from “separate mode,” subject/object, to a more “intermediate mode,” figure/ground, a part of the whole. Washburn had a unique developmental cycle here, triphasic, in rewritten psychoanalytic language of all things.  There is a discernible difference when Intent is active, in what you get and see . . . something special, not the random vague images. Everything is clearer, sharper, more colorful.

• I never expected to see this: “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light” (Matt. 6:22). This must of come from their more Gnostic origins. There is some esoteric in this religion! Time to bring that back.

This seems to have stimulated something:

• “There is a portion of you, the deeper identity who forms both the inner ego (inner self) and the outer ego, who decided that you would be a physical being in this place and time. This is the core of your identity, the psychic seed from which you sprang, the multidimensional personality of which you are a part.”  (Seth)

There was a dream, in which the flood gates seems to have opened. There was a sense of a powerful process operating, discernible within my depths, enlivening one’s normal situation. The second time I looked, it was like I also seen an old man , with a beard, curiously watching me. Like one of those older Jedi Knights, or wizards from Lord of the Rings! You Seth?

So, we approach the world in a different way.  We are extending ourselves into a larger reality; touching it, like extending our feelers of energy, and interconnecting. There’s more to it than just the “other half,”  what only one is getting in the separate mode, like just positive/negative, here/there, etc. We just don’t realize how much is there; and what we can get.

• There was a time when I noted there was symbolism entering the situation. I wouldn’t interpret things the way they did now; but I just realized it gave them some extra sense of meaning to life. It was a good feeling for them. Hmm . . . a bit of a double take.
• Aboriginals speak of an underlying intelligence, spirit, to all living things, or anything, being able to commune with it, messages, warnings. Looking for life directions, to survive, ways to do things, etc. It just made me realize; I could still keep my idea of an interconnected field of meaning and knowledge here: there’s greater meanings!
• With intent in the interconnected mode one can touch upon the unique, the unexpected, the gifted.

“Where one is at.” One can work it from here, with the figure/ground. This is what I came up with, for dealing with the situation, since people seem to demand something. Yes, I would say there are many “behind the scenes connections, interconnections.” Not the “darkness” . . . but many other parts. The “bigger picture is forming, reforming.” We are all involved in that, unfortunately for some. There are flows of intent luckily, where one can see the differences, and still be grounded.

There are those in separate mode who would like to control this interconnection, “externalize:”

• In the separate mode, things become “externalized.” The problem with that is it tends to try and bring it all back down to its fixed pattern, symbolism.
• “In taking over someone’s mind, these “deceivers”—members of “the un-dead”— replace it with a spurious simulation of their own dead and automated psyche, one devoid of creativity. The person so possessed identifies with this counterfeit version of themselves, assuming the mind they are experiencing is their own—while the truth is that what they then experience as themselves is anything but. Instead of being themselves, they become a duplicate of themselves, a master copy. The Bible itself points at this—referring to the mind parasites as the antimimon pneuma, the “counterfeiting spirit,” which is to say they impersonate us, with the hope that we identify with their false version of who we are. Interestingly, the revered Gnostic text Pistis Sophia claims that the antimimon pneuma has affixed itself to humanity like an illness.” (Paul Levy)
• This externaliztion may not deal with what’s really going on within people: the ascending hierarchy of needs, the evolution of learning and maturing, the higher motivations and feelings, authentic inner power.
